Will the lakers beat the nuggets in the first round?

I'm kidding on that answer. I want to know how many games will it take for the lakers to beat nuggets.

Will the lakers beat the nuggets in the first round?nba street

I really don't see any problem here, Lakers in 6 gms.

Will the lakers beat the nuggets in the first round?nba news ,nba teams

lakers in 5. these nuggets are just lucky to get into the playoffs. lakers will probably let them win 1 game in denver then it's over. nuggets don't play defense. camby and kmart can't do everything in defense. who will they assign to cover bryant? if gasol plays from the outside, camby will be useless in defense. odom is too fast for kmart. i can write too many things concerning the nuggets poor defense, individually and as a team. you just can't win games in the playoffs just by exchanging baskets. now is not the right time to make adjustments, an entire season is needed to make it work. play defense and the nuggets might win another game but not the series.
lakers wouldnt face nuggets...

cause nuggets will win memphis at home, while dallas will lose to new orleans..

therefore, nuggets move up a position against dallas...

lakers face dallas, while nuggets face new orleans...
Assuming they do officially match up at the end of the season, 5 MAXIMUM

They won all 3 games against the Nuggets in the regular season
You will probably get past the 1st round, but it will be 1 and done this year for the Lakers. They will most likely lose to the Suns.
Forget the Lakers. I'm going with the Nuggets.
5 games
4.., Lakers
5 at the lowest. LAL play at max 3 games in DEN. DEN is almost guaranteed 1 win, but no more than that.
clean sweep, nuggets play no D. Good luck stopping Kobe and Gasol when you can't play D.
in four games . . sweep by the 2008 NBA champs . .LAKERS!
It'll take the Lakers 4 games
I think the Lakers will look to sweep so they can get some rest--- 5 max.

no they wont

Will the injury of Andrew Bynum hurt the Lakers?

The Lakers are on a 6 game winning streak and winning 10 of their last 11, they are really on fire.

But their young center Bynum was hurt last night and it's to be out about 8 weeks.

Will that hurt the Lakers, if so, how badly? Will Kobe go back to the scorer again?

Will the injury of Andrew Bynum hurt the Lakers?nba standings

I am a die hard Laker fan %26amp; I am disappointed in alot of laker fans so you guys give up that easy remember we still have the best player in the game who shall I shall not name you know his name for the past two seasons Kobe carried u to the playoffs even when he didn't have anyone why cant we stay above water we already played Detriot phoenix 2x the spurs 2x Denver 2x golden state 2x Celtics 2x Utah 3x and new Orleans 2x our 2nd half schedule is going to be more than favorable with 2 games against Atlanta the bob cats t-wolves knicks and 2 games against Miami theres nine wins alone we also face the clippers 3 more times thats 12 wins we also face the sonics and the kings 3 more times thats 14 wins I would say theres about 10 tough games left Dallas 3x spurs once suns 2x Portland 3x and Detriot Kobe will win MVP after he carriers this team into the playoffs again by the way this is a completely different team from last season were better defensively we have more leadership everyones better expect for Kwame and 24 more reasons Kobe

Will the injury of Andrew Bynum hurt the Lakers?nba referee ,nba teams

unfortunately they will go down
it will badly but i hope the lakers

can focus on their games to win more and more

of them.

bynum is 3rd best center in nba right now. i think
i hope it doesn't affect them but it probably will. kobe will be kobe so he'll score many points. the rest of the team will have to pick up the slack but they're not going to give up....GO LA!!
Same as last year, no difference
Definetly no dought about it.

Hes an essential to that offence.

Espn analyists even said his injury is gonna hurt the team more than if kobe got hurt which i dont really understand
Yes because he's really came to his own before he got injured and it puts lots of pressure on Kobe and Lamar Odom to step it up another notch.
yes because then they wont have that big guy kwame is good but has small hands rarely dunks and also has hands of stone and bynum just gave them so much
bynum is not a superstar
8 weeks that will test the lakers big time hes been a huge weapon and although i expect them to make it through iwth about a .500 record without him
ya he was realy comin around as one of the better centers in the league.
Are you kidding me?

The Lakers are going to be launching threes all game. They lose all inside presence and they are going to be scored on like crazy with out his length and athleticism.

Can the Lakers come out strong towards the end of the regular season?

Currently facing a 6-game losing streak, and the team facing lots of injuries, can the Los Angeles Lakers finish strong going to the end of the regular season??

Even if Kobe Bryant is playing an MVP type of game, the Lakers seems like going down the drain,.

Can Kobe's teammates step up to fill in to the injuries and help the Lakers move up in the standings?

Can the Lakers come out strong towards the end of the regular season?nba league pass

Of course they can. Kobe is leading a lot of young guys, once the team ge healthy most especially Luke Walton, they will come back where they belong, on the top.

I know it's tough , but you will have to realize it is one of those obstacles that a team must survive to come out as a great team.

A young and competitive team, just struggling, sooner or later, they will emerge as one of the top teams in league.

Can the Lakers come out strong towards the end of the regular season?nba tv ,nba teams

hell no they suck
yes
The lakers will be fine

the best move for them is to get KWame and Walton healthy

The team has been unable to get it together since Walton went down with injury as he is the glue of the team and Odom still isn't 100%

lakers are 3-9 without Walton

something like 18-9 when the team is healthy though
Can they? Yes.

Will they? That remains to be seen. Kobe can't do it all by himself. Somebody else has to step up and they shouldn't wait for Walton's return to do it.
at their best, the Lakers are still only the 5th or 6th best team in the west. Personally, I think Kobe has won his last title. He can't win by himself, they have nothing to offer in trade, and it will be hard to sign another superstar. Last time the Lakers had a 2nd star, Kobe ran him off. The guy cares more about being "the man" than winning titles.
If they can find a way to play defense, yeah, its possible. Right now their problem is defense. They are the 2nd worst in the NBA in giving up points. Its sad!

Dribble penetration kills them every single time. This was exposed last year in the playoffs and you would think the Lakers coaching staff would of capatalized on it by now. Other teams see this is there weakness and they take advantage of it.

If they just focus on playing defense and not worry about all the injuries, they should be fine.

The last 6 losses were more psychological, Phil Jackson mentioned it yesterday when the players names were mentioned in possible trades, they become insecure, forget about the game and are more worried about being sent elsewhere. Now that the deadline is over, that shouldn't be an issue with them. So they canjust focus on defense.
Im a big true lakers fan unlike those bandwagon who left after Shaq.

Lakers have to stay healthy. Kobe has to be more consistant and have mixture of his playing now and his #8 days. His sidekicks are averaging players who is getting the job done and will become better as they gain more experience. Odom needs to be 100% healthy because he is their #2 option. Them Walton needs to come back and continue where he left off before the injury. Kwame Brown was doing good, getting his rebounds and with Bynum getting his blocks and rebound young and talented. Jordon Farmers needs to stay hot at the 3 point line. Smush Parker needs to have those games when hes on fire. Maurice Evans needs to play better so Kobe can get more rest. Vladmire has to shoot better and try 2 establish a low post game and brian cook has to chill with the bad timing shots and have fews game when hes on fire. Turaif . The bench needs to play before when the team winning. If all that happen lakers should have winning streaks like the suns and mavericks. Also take pressure of kobe, kobe will decrease his shot selection and pass more. He will become the Seasons MVP and Lakers has a big cnace to even go back to the finals
I think they can because one Luke Walton is coming back and he sets the floor up well. two is that again Phil Jackson is the coach the zen master that he is and all. Lamar Odom has to be aggressive and if his knee gets better then the team will do better. remember before Odom's injury he was having career numbers. I think they can move up if they start playing better defense they are not playing the same defense as last year.
if they had gotten jason kidd because it everyone on ESPN was talkin about those 2 playing together but they changed they mines....so

Who is the main fanbase for the Lakers and the Clippers?

Why would two teams be located in Los Angeles? Who would actually go to Clipper games, assuming the Lakers are more popular? Is it something like Chicago where working-class people support the White Sox while the rich support the Cubs?

I can't imagine who would actually support the Clippers in Los Angeles, of course, obviously before they were good this year.

Who is the main fanbase for the Lakers and the Clippers?www.nba.com

i think the population of LA is so big that it can support both teams. the people that support the clippers are probably those who couldn't get tickets to see the lakers. i used to like the clippers. for the last 5 years they have been doing fairly decent. if they were in the east they would have made it to the playoffs a while ago. its because they are in the west where teams with .500 aren't even guaranteed a spot.

they have always had some good players too and high draft picks. if you are a fan of the sport you would have probably went to see Lamar Odom, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson back when they were on the team.

Who is the main fanbase for the Lakers and the Clippers?basketball jerseys ,nba teams

Laker games always attract big hollywood stars,etc...and going to a LAKERS game is like the cool thing to do. On the other hand, you have the true diehard fans going to Clippers games. Most people say only blue-collar people go to Clipper games, but i've also seen famous people at their games. Report It

Probably the relatives/wives/kids of the players. IT is probably like high school sports where parents watch their kids play for support.

Is there any team other than the Lakers who do not have a white home or away jersey?

The Lakers have a yellow home jersey and a purple away. They do have a white jersey but it is there alternate. Are there any other teams in the four professional sports that do not have a primary white jersey?

good point...can't think of one

Will the Lakers surpass the Celtics in NBA championships?

With the addition of Gasol, the Lakers now have one of the best line-ups in the NBA, Bryant, Odom, Bynum, Fisher, and Gasol. The Lakers might not win a championship this year, but I do think that they will pick up a championship next year and maybe a few more the other following years. As of right now, the Celtics have 16 NBA titles and the Lakers have 14. So, is it possible that the Lakers might surpass the Celtics in titles in the next few years?

Will the Lakers surpass the Celtics in NBA championships?nba salaries

NO LAKERS SUCK COME ON GUYS

Will the Lakers surpass the Celtics in NBA championships?nba playoff ,nba teams

YUP!! They will win in 6 and take back their championship to LA!! I think the Celtics might get one, but the Lakers are creating a better dynasty. Kobe will be the best in the NBA for about 8 more years and Bynum will soon be the "Next Shaq" (not to say that D. Howard won't), and Gasol will be a Laker for life and be a Worthy/ Pippen type!!! So, if the West doesn't get stronger (if LeBron James doesn't come to the Warriors) the Lakers should be able to get 3-4 rings in the next 8-9 years!!!
I don't think so the Celtics will win this Year in the NBA Finals so that will be 17 Titles still more then the Lakers.
Right now, it's difficult to project if the Lakers will surpass the Celtics.

The Lakers have only played 1 game vs. the "New and Improved" Celtics. And.. they lost... badly.

But now, with the addition of Gasol, and the may-be return of the improving Bynum, they might have a good match-up, if the Lakers can play some Defense.

Celtics are looking for their first championship battle in a couple of years. Lakers are looking to get out of this slump they've been having.

All in all, I can't wait until the 2nd game of Celtics v. Lakers. It will probably (I hope) be a good match.
u dont even no if there going to be champions or even get through that far but yes i think they can
I think yea within in the next 5 years.
Fisher is old Odom is overrated. Celtics are playing great even without Garnett. Celtic will represent the east and the West belongs to the Spurs . Duncan ,Ginobli, Parker,Barry, Bowen, Finley,Oberto, Stoudimire, Don't Forget Bowen always guard kobe pretty tough. Defense wins championships. sorry Fakers give Kobe what he wants a trade to Chicago for Ben Wallace LOL!!!!!
the lakers by bfar, the celtics are so over rated as of right now
No, i don't think the celtics or lakers will win the nba title. and people, the celtics are not over rated, they have the best record in the nba, only lost nine games, and they are undefeated against the west, come on, over rated. give me a break.

Will Lakers advance to the second round of the playoffs?

Will the lakers advance to the second round even with the injury of Bynum and Ariza?

Will Lakers advance to the second round of the playoffs?nba hoops

i think the Lakers can definitely make it past the first round this year.

First their success on the road this year and their ability to stay in games (that would have been blowouts last year) - means that homecourt advantage isn't as important as in past years.

i think they can be one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs (especially once they get Bynum back).

They match up pretty well against most of the teams in the West. i think unless they face the Spurs in the first round they have a good shot to get past the first round.

They have a deep bench, and once Bynum gets back it'll open up the lanes for Kobe and there will be two people that have to be double-teamed.

Their seed will obviously be lower than had Bynum not been injured- but we've seen they've the potential to be the best in the West and in a 7 game series anything can happen.

Go Lakers!

Will Lakers advance to the second round of the playoffs?nba 2k7 ,nba teams

Probably. Depends on their seeding and who they draw in the first round.
yes if kobe will learn to pass the ball more..
no they won't
Provided that the team is whole and healthy prior to the culmination of the playoffs, the answer to that is hell yes. Bynum and Ariza will be key to their success. The Lakers are no better offensively than they were last year, but defensively they have improved drastically and they are distributing the ball significantly better, look for them to be a force.
Bynum won't miss the playoffs. They have a good chance.
No, right now they are the 6th seed for them to have a chance they must get 5th cause 1st or 2nd is out of the question. At 5th they can play Denver or Portland. That is the only chance but i dont think that will happen
It depends. If they gonna face the Suns at first round, there is no chance in hell they gonna go to second round.
I don't think they will because they'll break down like piece of trash on a pile of burning sh** whick I like to call Kobe Bryant.
Yes, they will...only if they trade Kobe....He is not fit in Jackson's system and not fit to be a Laker....He disgraces the Laker organization....
probably if they don't bump into the suns
nah, not good enough
If Bynum and Ariza are injured, they have no chance of making it out of the 1st round. if the team gets healthy before the playoffs start then I think they'll make noise. We need everyone healthy

#1 Laker fan
they willl be back and we will not only get there we will own
they need 3 things: everyone needs to be healthy, they need home court (top 4 seed), and a favorable matchup someone like Portland or Golden State..all of those things are possible so they have a 50-50 chance
At least......
Not if Kobe's leading them!

KOBE BRYANT SUCKS!
